بالتعاون مع مركز حمدان بن محمد لإحياء التراث
أصدر "بريد الإمارات" بالتعاون مع مركز حمدان بن محمد لإحياء التراث اليوم (الأحد 5 سبتمبر 2021)، مجموعة من الطوابع التذكارية التي تحمل صور طائري "الحبارى" و"الكروان"، وذلك في مبادرة نوعية تهدف إلى دعم المبادرات في الحفاظ على الحياة البيئية وأهميتها في التراث الوطني لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

جاء ذلك خلال مراسم الإصدار التي أقيمت اليوم في مقر مركز حمدان بن محمد لإحياء التراث في منطقة الجميرا في دبي، بحضور كل من سعادة عبدالله محمد الأشرم الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بريد الإمارات؛ وسعادة عبدالله حمدان بن دلموك، الرئيس التنفيذي لمركز حمدان بن محمد لإحياء التراث، وعدد كبير من المسؤولين من كلا الطرفين.

وأكد سعادة عبدالله حمدان بن دلموك الرئيس التنفيذي لمركز حمدان بن محمد لإحياء التراث، على أهمية المبادرات التي تهدف إلى إحياء التراث الوطني للدولة والمحافظة عليه، حيث قال: "يتعاون المركز مع العديد من المؤسسات المحلية لتقديم الاستشارات والخدمات والمشاريع المتعلقة بترسيخ التراث المحلي بأوجه مختلفة وبنظم وثوابت معتمدة تعبر عن قيمنا وعاداتنا المجتمعية."

وأضاف بن دلموك: "سعدنا بالتعاون مع بريد الإمارات في إصدار هذه المجموعة من الطوابع التذكارية لطائري "الحبارى" و"الكروان"، وذلك تماشياً مع النهج الذي سار عليه الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، طيب الله ثراه، وبتوجيهات سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي، لتقديم كل ما يسهم في تعزيز هويتنا وتراثنا الوطنية من خلال التعاون مع المؤسسات الوطنية في الدولة."

من جهته قال سعادة عبدالله محمد الأشرم الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بريد الإمارات: "يأتي إصدار هذه المجموعة من الطوابع الخاصة بطائري "الحبارى" و"الكروان" في إطار الجهود المبذولة للاهتمام بالحياة البيئية في دولة الامارات وتعزيز الوعي في المجتمع في الحفاظ على الحياة والبيئة البرية، لما لهذه الطيور من مكانة في البيئة والثقافة الإماراتية. ونحن سعداء بتعاوننا مع مركز حمدان بن محمد لإحياء التراث في إصدار هذه الطوابع وذلك في إطار التزامنا بدعم المبادرات الهادفة إلى توثيق دور الدولة وتعزيز مكانتها عبر ترسيخها في الذاكرة الإنسانية وتعزيز الوعي بأهميتها من خلال الإصدارات البريدية التذكارية. وسنواصل جهودنا الرامية إلى جعل إصدارات الطوابع التذكارية بمثابة أدوات توثيقية للسمات الإنسانية والحضارية والموروث التراثي للدولة وتعزيز التواصل بين الشعوب والثقافات."

ستتوفر الطوابع للشراء على متجر بريد الإمارات الإلكتروني emiratespostshop.ae أو في مكاتب سعادة المتعاملين التابعة لبريد الإمارات في الدولة.

As part of its efforts to support biodiversity conservation and uphold the UAE’s cultural heritage, Emirates Post, in partnership with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, issued a new set of commemorative stamps bearing the image of the Stone-Curlew and Houbara Bustard bird species.

The issuance ceremony was held at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center headquarters in Jumeirah, Dubai, and attended by H.E. Abdulla M. Alashram, CEO of Emirates Post Group; H.E. Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center; and other distinguished officials from both entities.

Highlighting the importance of this initiative to preserve the country’s heritage, H.E. Abdulla Hamdan Bin Dalmook said: “As one of the entities dedicated to upholding and preserving the unique heritage of the UAE, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center has partnered with several local institutions to provide consultations and services, as well as launch projects that exhibit our values ​​and customs as a nation.”

Bin Dalmook added: “We are pleased to collaborate with Emirates Post in issuing this set of commemorative stamps featuring the houbara and curlew birds, following the noble example shown by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This initiative is also in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, which encourages the country to support ways that contribute to strengthening our national identity and heritage through meaningful cooperation with various institutions.”

H.E. Abdulla M. Alashram, noted: “The houbara bustard and stone-curlew birds represent an important part of the Emirati heritage, and the issuance of these stamps reflects our commitment to upholding our  culture, and to raising awareness in the community to preserving our local wildlife and environment. Our cooperation with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center is a gesture of our dedication to supporting initiatives that preserve the rich legacy of our forefathers through commemorative stamps. This is only one of the many stamp issuances that chronicle the UAE’s heritage and enhance our individual and cultural connections.”

The stamps will be available for purchase on the Emirates Post webshop (emiratespostshop.ae) and at Emirates Post Customer Happiness Centres across the country.

أعلنت "شركة مجموعة بريد الإمارات"، عن تعيين بدر سليم سلطان العلماء رئيساً لمجلس إدارتها، ليقود بذلك المرحلة المقبلة من مسيرة التحول التي تشهدها المجموعة، بالنظر لما يتمتّع به من مهارات قيادية ورؤية استباقية وخبرات متنوعة للقيام بهذا الدور. ويمثل هذا التعيين خطوةً ايجابية ودعمًا لجهود "شركة مجموعة بريد الإمارات" في إطار مساعيها الحثيثة لتنويع محفظتها الاستثمارية والتحول الرقمي وتوسيع عملياتها وتنويع منتجاتها بما يساهم في دعم وتعزيز علامتها التجارية عبر الأسواق المحلية والإقليمية والدولية.

وتعقيباً على قرار تعيينه، قال العلماء: "يشرفني العمل مع مجلس الإدارة والإدارة التنفيذية لقيادة المرحلة المقبلة في مسيرة "شركة مجموعة بريد الإمارات"، وأتطلع إلى العمل مع فريق المجموعة للمساهمة في دعم توجهات النمو المستقبلية للقطاع الخدمات البريدية، وتكريس دور المجموعة في بناء اقتصاد وطني مستدام ومتنوع قائم على المعرفة والابتكار بما يحقق رؤية دولتنا للسنوات الخمسين المقبلة".

وأضاف العلماء: "يسعدني استكمال مسيرة النمو والازدهار التي حققها مجلس الإدارة تحت قيادة رئيسه السابق سعادة محمد سلطان القاضي، حيث ساهم في دعم نمو المجموعة وتطوير أدائها خلال العقود الماضية. لا شك أن المجموعة ستواصل مسيرة نجاحها، كما ستركز  على تحقيق نقلة نوعية في خدماتها وترسيخ ثقافة التميز في المرحلة المقبلة."    

ويعتبر العلماء أحد الشخصيات الريادية البارزة التي تتمتع بالمعرفة والخبراتِ المتراكمة في عدة مجالات، ويتولى عدداً من الأدوار القيادية العُليا لدى مجموعة من الشركات والمؤسسات، حيث يشغل حالياً منصب المدير التنفيذي لوحدة المجمعات الاستراتيجية ضمن قطاع الاستثمار في الإمارات التابع لشركة "مبادلة للاستثمار". كما يقود العلماء اللجنة التنظيمية "للقمة العالمية للصناعة والتصنيع"، وهي منصة تعاونية رائدة تأسست بالشراكة بين دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة و"منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية".  

ويشغل العلماء أيضاً عدة مهام أخرى في مجموعة من الشركات والمؤسسات الرائدة في دولة الإمارات، حيث يشغل  منصب رئيس مجلس إدارة كل من شركة "ستراتا للتصنيع" و"مجموعة سند"، إلى جانب عُضوية مجلس إدارة كلٍّ من شركة "الياه سات للاتصالات الفضائية" وشركة "مبادلة للرعاية الصحية"، وشركة "شعاع كابيتال" وشركة "عملات للطباعة الأمنية"، وعددٍ من الشركات الأخرى في قطاعي تصنيع السيارات وتوليد الطاقة في الجزائر.

Emirates Post Group Company (EPGC) has announced the appointment of Badr Al-Olama as the Chairman of the organization. With Al-Olama at the helm, and with his strong leadership and business acumen, EPGC is set to forge ahead with its diversification, digitalization and expansion efforts aimed at further enhancing the presence of its brands in local, regional, and international markets. 

Commenting on his appointment, Al-Olama said: “I am honored to lead, alongside the Board and management, the next phase of business transformation for Emirates Post Group. I am confident that, as a team, we can make a substantial contribution to the diversification of the nation’s knowledge and innovation-based economy, as well as drive sustainable growth towards the next 50 years.”

A seasoned expert with extensive knowledge in various sectors, Al-Olama holds prominent leadership positions across various companies and organizations. He is the current Executive Director of the UAE Clusters at Mubadala’s Investment Company. He also spearheads the organizing committee of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS), a pioneering collaborative platform jointly established by the UAE and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Moreover, he is involved in other leading companies in the UAE, holding the post as Chairman of Strata Manufacturing (Strata) and Sanad Group (Sanad), while serving as a Board Director at Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), Mubadala Health, Shuaa Capital, Oumolat Security Printing, as well as a number of automotive and energy joint ventures in Algeria.

فازت دولة الإمارات بعضوية مجلس إدارة الاتحاد البريدي العالمي، وعضوية مجلس العمليات البريدية للدورة القادمة 2025-2022 ، وذلك خلال مشاركتهم في النسخة السابعة والعشرين من مؤتمر الاتحاد البريدي العالمي (UPU)، والذي تستضيفه أبيدجان في ساحل العاج.

ومثلت "مجموعة بريد الإمارات" برئاسة عبد الله محمد الأشرم، الرئيس التنفيذي ، دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، بحضور ممثلي حكومات وقادة القطاع البريدي في الدول الأعضاء بالاتحاد، ومندوبي منظمات الأمم المتحدة وهيئات دولية وإقليمية مختلفة. وجاء انتخاب دولة الإمارات لهذين المنصبين ثمرة لجهودها الحثيثة لتعزيز القطاع البريدي على الصعيدين المحلي والعالمي، وانطلاقاً من مساهماتها الفاعلة في أنشطة الاتحاد البريدي العالمي ومشاريعها الهادفة إلى الارتقاء بالخدمات البريدية والمالية، إضافة إلى دورها الريادي في إرساء السياسات البريدية ووضع استراتيجيات العمل البريدي الدولي والاستفادة منها في النقلة النوعية التي تشهدها مجموعة بريد الإمارات حالياً.

وقال عبد الله الأشرم، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بريد الإمارات: " نتقدم بالشكر الى  قيادتنا الرشيدة على رؤيتها وتوجيهاتها السديدة بتعزيز إمكاناتنا وتقديم  التسهيلات والمبادرات التي تهدف إلى تحقيق أعلى مستويات التميز والابتكار والاستدامة. فقد أثبتت  دولة الإمارات ريادتها في مختلف المجالات والمحافل الدولية، من خلال فوزها بعضوية مجلس الإدارة في الاتحاد البريدي العالمي ومجلس العمليات البريدية لدورتين متتاليتين، حيث يؤكد هذا الفوز إمكاناتها المتطورة في تقديم الخدمات البريدية عالية الجودة على الصعيدين الإقليمي والعالمي، ممثلة بالنجاحات المتتالية التي تحققها مجموعة بريد الإمارات خلال السنوات القليلة الماضية، بدعم وتوجيهات القيادة الحكيمة والتي لطالما كانت السند الأساسي لنا في جميع المراحل. واليوم، نتطلع قدماً إلى تحقيق المزيد من التقدم والإنجاز في القطاع البريدي."

وأضاف: "إن فوزنا بعضوية مجلس الإدارة ومجلس العمليات البريدية يضعنا أمام مسؤولية كبيرة لتطوير الهيئات البريدية على مستوى اتحاد البريد العالمي، بما يشمل تطوير البنية التحتية ورفع جودة الخدمات المقدمة وتطبيق مفاهيم التحول الرقمي والشمول المالي. ونؤكد التزامنا الكامل في دعم جهود الاتحاد البريدي العالمي، مشددين على أهمية مواصلة دورنا في تعزيز التنمية المستدامة من أجل مستقبل أكثر تقدماً وازدهاراً."

ويذكر أن مجلس إدارة اتحاد البريد العالمي يضم 40 دولة، تجتمع معاً لوضع الاستراتيجيات وتتبع الأنشطة وبحث القضايا التنظيمية، والإدارية، والتشريعية والقانونية، في حين ينعقد المؤتمر كل أربع سنوات بمشاركة 192 من الدول الأعضاء، ممثلة في هيئاتها البريدية، ويهدف إلى تحديد خارطة الطريق لأنشطة الاتحاد البريدي العالمي، واعتمادها لكل دورة عمل مقبلة.

Emirates Post Group, led by the Group CEO Abdulla M. Alashram, represented UAE during the Universal Postal Congress, joining government representatives and industry leaders from UPU member states alongside UN representatives and other international organizations. The delegation acknowledges the election of the UAE to assume the two seats as a testament to the country’s pioneering initiatives and unremitting efforts towards the industry’s advancements locally and globally, to proactively supporting the UPU’s activities, and to promoting a higher standard for postal and financial services.

Abdulla M. Alashram, Group CEO of Emirates Post Group, said: “The UAE continues to demonstrate its leading position in all sectors and cement its strong presence in international forums and summits. As we maintain our momentum to reach new heights of success, we continue to express our gratitude to the vision and guidance of our country’s leadership, which have been pivotal in enhancing the nation’s capabilities to offer innovative solutions and launch ambitious initiatives to ensure the highest levels of excellence and sustainability. Winning the membership within the CA and POC demonstrates the UAE’s position as a key player in developing postal policies and strategies worldwide.”               

Alashram added: “Assuming our position as a member of the UPU’s CA and the POC increases our responsibility to contribute to the development of postal entities across the globe in terms of promoting service quality and implementing various digital transformation and financial integration concepts. We remain fully committed to supporting UPU’s efforts, and we will continue to play an active role in promoting a sustainable development to ensure a more prosperous future.”        

The UPU’s Councils comprise of 40 states that hold meetings to develop strategies and discuss various regulatory, administrative, legislative, and legal agenda within the global postal industry. Aimed at developing and approving a roadmap for UPU’s activities, the Union Postal Congress is held every four years with the participation of more than 192 states represented by their respective postal authorities.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has won membership in the Universal Postal Union’s (UPU) Council of Administration (CA) and the Postal Operations Council (POC) for the 2022-2025 cycle. Nominees were selected based on geographical representation during the 27th edition of the Universal Postal Union Congress, hosted by Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

حققت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة إنجازا عالميا جديدا بفوزها باستضافة المؤتمر البريدي العالمي الثامن والعشرين 2025" في إمارة دبي، بعد منافسة دولية قوية وذلك خلال مشاركتها في الدورة السابعة والعشرين من "مؤتمر الاتحاد البريدي العالمي" (UPU).  

وأكّدت دولة الإمارات استعدادها الكامل لتنظيم وإنجاح المؤتمر، مدعومةً بمقومات تنافسية عالية المستوى، في مقدمتها الموقع الاستراتيجي والبنية التحتية المتطورة والخدمات المتميزة..

وترأس وفد دولة الإمارات المُشارك في "مؤتمر الاتحاد البريدي العالمي 2021" عبد الله محمد الأشرم، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "مجموعة بريد الإمارات"، حيث قال: "نبارك لدولة الامارات وقيادتنا الرشيدة وشعب الإمارات هذا الإنجاز. وتمثّل استضافة "المؤتمر البريدي العالمي الثامن والعشرين 2025" نقطة تحول حقيقية بالنسبة للقطاع البريدي واللوجستي، ومحطة هامة في مسيرة الريادة التي تقودها الإمارات على الخارطة العالمية، لافتاً إلى أهمية الحدث في دفع مسيرة النهضة الحضارية التي تشهدها الدولة."

وأضاف الأشرم: "يأتي فوز الإمارات باستضافة المؤتمر الدولي بمثابة خطوة متقدمة على درب ترسيخ حضور الدولة كقوة مؤثرة في رسم ملامح مستقبل القطاع البريدي العالمي. ويمثل الإنجاز الجديد إضافة هامة للمكتسبات الحضارية التي تقودها دولتنا في ظل السياسة الحكيمة لقيادتنا الرشيدة التي أرست دعائم متينة للنهضة والنماء، لنكون في مصاف الدول الأكثر تقدماً وابتكاراً في العالم. وباعتبارنا إحدى الدول الأعضاء المؤسِّسة لـ "الاتحاد البريدي العالمي"، تواصل دولة الإمارات دعم جهوده الحثيثة للمساهمة بفعالية في وضع سياسات داعمة لتعزيز التنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية في العالم.  كما أننا نتطلع قدماً إلى احتضان الدورة المرتقبة من المؤتمر الدولي، في ظل الاستعدادات الجارية للخمسين عاماً المقبلة التي سندخل خلالها حقبة جديدة من التقدم، واضعين نصب أعيننا تعزيز أطر التعاون الفعال مع الدول الأعضاء لتطوير الجيل البريدي الجديد المؤهل لمواكبة المتغيرات المتسارعة التي يفرضها القرن الحادي والعشرين."

ويجدر الذكر بأنّ "المؤتمر البريدي العالمي الثامن والعشرين 2025" يستقطب مشاركة رفيعة المستوى من ممثلي الحكومات حول العالم وقادة القطاع البريدي في الدول الأعضاء في "الاتحاد البريدي العالمي" ومنظمات الأمم المتحدة وأبرز الهيئات الدولية والإقليمية لمناقشة دور البريد في عالم اليوم المتغير. ويقام المؤتمر مرة كل أربع سنوات لتحديد الاستراتيجيات والخطط لكل دورة عمل، إضافة إلى وضع المعايير واللوائح التي تسيّر عملية التبادل الدولية للبريد والطرود.

This latest achievement reflects the country’s position as one of the world’s leading international business centres and regional hubs. The country’s strategic location, advanced infrastructure, world-class offerings combined with high levels of safety and security, business-friendly processes, and future-forward solutions, proved the ideal candidate.

The announcement was made during the 27th session of the global conference, which is currently in its final week in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

Commenting on UAE’s win to host the next Universal Postal Congress, Abdulla M. Alashram, Group CEO of Emirates Post Group Company (EPGC), who is leading the UAE delegation, said: ““We congratulate the UAE, our wise leadership and the UAE nationals and citizens for this achievement. As the host of the next congress, we are very proud of the trust and recognition of the international postal community for our efforts in this sector. We believe that the postal and logistics industry occupies an indispensable place in the global economy amidst an increasingly changing social and economic landscape and will be proud to showcase the advancements the UAE has made in this regard.

"Under the wise guidance and support of our country’s leadership, we continue to work together in shaping the UAE’s future for the next fifty years, strengthening our position as a consistent contributor to the global trade and logistics arena. We look forward to hosting the next UPU Congress, which we believe will become another significant milestone to the country's achievements, " Alashram added.

The UAE is one of the founding members of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). As a UN specialized agency comprising more than 192 member countries, the UPU serves as the primary forum for international cooperation for the global postal industry. The congress is held every four years for members to discuss plans and define strategies for the coming years, alongside setting standards and regulations that govern the international exchange of mail and parcels.

The UAE has once again reaffirmed its strengths and capabilities to host significant international conferences after winning the bid to host the 28th edition of the Universal Postal Congress which will be held in Dubai in 2025.

تشارك دولة الإمارات في مؤتمر الاتحاد البريدي بدورته السابعة والعشرين والذي يعقد في أبيدجان في ساحل العاج، ويستمر من 9 ولغاية 27 أغسطس الحالي بمشاركة نحو 192 دولة عضو في الاتحاد، في حين يترأس الوفد الإماراتي سعادة عبد الله محمد الاشرم، الرئيس التنفيذي، لشركة مجموعة بريد الإمارات.

وتتولى دولة الإمارات منصب نائب رئيس المؤتمر حيث اختيرت لهذا المنصب حسب معيار التوزع الجغرافي العادل للأقاليم، إضافة إلى منصبها كنائب رئيس لجنة السياسة العامة وإدارة أعمال الاتحاد البريدي والتي جرى تعيينها في إطار نظام المناولة الإقليمية. وستشهد الدورة الحالية تبنّي الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد البريدي العالمي "الاستراتيجية البريدية العالمية"، والتي ستمثل خارطة طريق واضحة لدورة العمل الجديدة للاتحاد اعتباراً من العام 2022.

يتخلل المؤتمر إقرار قواعد جديدة ووضع سياسات بشأن التبادل الدولي للرسائل والسلع البريدية، إضافة إلى انتخاب مدير عام جديد للاتحاد ونائبه، وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة ومجلس العمليات البريدية التابع للاتحاد، للفترة ما بين 2021-2024.

وخلال كلمته في الجلسة الافتتاحية الأولى للمؤتمر، أعرب سعادة عبد الله محمد الأشرم، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة مجموعة بريد الإمارات عن سعادته بالمشاركة في النسخة السابعة والعشرين من المؤتمر، شاكراً باسم الوفد حكومة ساحل العاج على مساعيها وجهودها لاستضافة هذا الحدث في ظل الصعوبات المترتبة عن انتشار وباء كورونا في العالم.

كما قال سعادته: "تتمتع الخدمات البريدية بدور حيوي وريادي في حياتنا اليومية، وبالرغم من الصعاب التي واجهها العالم خلال الأزمة الصحية الأخيرة الناجمة عن كوفيد 19، حيث استطاع القطاع البريدي الصمود وتحويل التحديات إلى فرص، من خلال تسريع عملية التحول التكنولوجي التي يقودها لمواكبة التطورات المتسارعة في مجال الرقمنة والتجارة الإلكترونية. وكلنا ثقة بأن التزامنا المستمر في تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق مع كافة المعنيين سيمكننا من تحقيق التقدم المطلوب، وسيثمر بشكل إيجابي في مسيرتنا الريادية المتمثلة في قيادة التحول ضمن الصناعة البريدية للوصول إلى أعلى مستويات النجاح والنمو والازدهار في المستقبل القريب."

واختتم سعادته بدعوة جميع الأعضاء المشاركين في المؤتمر من ممثلي الحكومات والمنظمات والهيئات الدولية والإقليمية وقادة القطاع البريدي، لحضور معرض إكسبو 2020 والذي تستضيفه إمارة دبي في شهر أكتوبر القادم.

His Excellency Abdulla Mohammad Alashram, Group Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Post Group is leading the delegation to the Congress which is running until the 27th of August 2021.

The UAE serves as one of the four Vice-Chairman of the Congress, chosen according to the criterion of equitable geographical distribution. This is in addition to its position and role as Vice-Chairman of the General Policy and Management of the Work of the Postal Union, in accordance with the regional handling framework.

The Congress will witness the adoption by UPU member states of the "World Postal Strategy" - a roadmap for the union's new business cycle starting in 2022. The Congress is also set to elect the next UPU Director-General and deputy director general, as well as members of the UPU’s Council of Administration and Postal Operations Council for the 2021-2024 period. In addition, this event also seeks to promote the adoption of new rules and the development of policies on international exchange of postal items. Plenipotentiaries will also discuss and define how the postal sector will assist economic and social development in the future.

During his speech in the opening session of the Congress, H.E. Alashram expressed his appreciation to the Côte d'Ivoire government for hosting the event amidst the difficulties caused by the continuous spread of the Covid-19 virus.

His Excellency remarked: “Postal services play a vital role in our communities, evident during the onset of the recent global pandemic, as we continued to be a key service provider to our nations. Despite the disruption faced by the health crisis, the postal industry was able to withstand the challenges and turn them into opportunities, adopting digitization and keeping pace with the rise of eCommerce. We are confident that conversations and deliberations during this Congress as well as our continued commitment to enhance cooperation with stakeholders will pave the way for transformation and drive progress within the postal industry.”

His Excellency concluded his speech by inviting participating government representatives, ministers in charge of the postal sector, chiefs of regulatory authorities, heads of intergovernmental agencies, and other high-level representatives to visit the Dubai Expo 2020 scheduled to commence in October 2021.

بالتعاون مع المكتب الإعلامي لحكومة الشارقة، أصدر بريد الإمارات طابعاً تذكارياً يوثق لجماليات "مدرج خورفكان" أحدث الصروح الثقافية التي تحتفي بها إمارة الشارقة الذي افتتحه صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة في ديسمبر 2020 ليكون معلماً معمارياً فنياً يغني الحراك الفني والإبداعي في الإمارة والدولة.

وجاء الكشف عن الطابع التذكاري اليوم (الأربعاء) 7 يوليو في المدرج، حيث تسلم الشيخ سلطان بن أحمد القاسمي، رئيس مجلس الشارقة للإعلام من سعادة عبد الله محمد الأشرم الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بريد الإمارات، لوحة مؤطرة بالبرونز للطابع الجديد، بحضور كل من سعادة طارق سعيد علاي، مدير المكتب الإعلامي لحكومة الشارقة، وصالح غربال – مدير الفعاليات والمشاريع، وعبيد محمد القطامي، المدير التنفيذي للشؤون المؤسسيه في بريد الإمارات، وراشد حريز الفلاسي، المدير التنفيذي للتجزئة بالوكالة.

ويجسد الطابع الذي جاءت بأبعاد 48  x 33 مم وبطاقة تذكارية 120 x 150 مم، تجسد صورة ليلية للمدرج يظهر فيها معماره من الأعلى كاملاً مضاءً بأعمدته الرومانية وطرازه الهندسي المتميز، ويحمل بقالب فني عبارة صاحب السمو حاكم الشارقة: "نحن كبشر زائلون، ويبقى المسرح ما بقيت الحياة"، بالإضافة إلى اسم المدرج مكتوباً بخط الثلث على الجهة اليسار فيما يتوسط الطابع من الجهة العلوية تاريخ العام 2021.

وبهذه المناسبة، قال الشيخ سلطان بن أحمد القاسمي: "لطالما كان الفن شاهداً حياً يوثق المنجزات الحضارية، ويجسد قيمتها ومكانتها للشعوب والمجتمعات، ويأتي إطلاق هذا الطابع تأكيداً على مكانة المدرج الفنية، وفي والوقت نفسه تعبيراً عن رمزية الطابع ودلالته الرسمية، فالطابع ظل تاريخياً حامل المعالم والرموز والشخصيات التي تفخر بها الدول وتقدم من خلالها نفسها أمام العالم".

وأضاف الشيخ سلطان بن أحمد القاسمي: "الجهود المشتركة التي تجمع المكتب الإعلامي لحكومة الشارقة مع بريد الإمارات كبيرة ومتعددة، وهي تأكيد متواصل على أننا جميعاً في إمارة الشارقة ودولة الإمارات نلتقي على أهداف مشتركة، نعمل فيها على خدمة بلادنا، وتقديم صورة تليق بمنجزاتها، وتطلعاتها، وكلنا أمل أن يتواصل هذا الجهد المشترك ويثمر مزيداً من المبادرات والإضافات النوعية والمميزة لمسيرة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة".

من جانبه قال سعادة عبد الله الأشرم، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بريد الإمارات: "نتشرف في مجموعة بريد الإمارات بتقديم الطابع التذكاري الخاص بمدرج خورفكان إلى صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة. ونسعى من خلال هذه المبادرة إلى إبراز مدرج خورفكان الذي يكتسب أهمية خاصة لكونه يمثل تحفةً معمارية وهندسية فريدة ومعلم ثقافي يشكّل إضافة جديدة إلى رصيد الإمارة الثقافي والفني. وسنواصل في مجموعة بريد الإمارات إصدار الطوابع التي تُبرز المعالم التراثية والحضارية والوجهات المتميزة التي تزخر بها الدولة، والإسهام في ترسيخ مكانة الإمارات كنموذجٍ يُحتذى به في النماء والتقدُّم، ومُلتقى للثقافات والحضارات، وحاضنة للإبداع والابتكار".

In collaboration with Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), Emirates Post has issued a new commemorative postage stamp featuring Sharjah’s eastern region’s newest cultural attraction, the impressive Khorfakkan Amphitheatre. Inaugurated in December 2020 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the iconic edifice is a new addition to the cultural and architectural landmarks in Sharjah and the UAE. The stamp was revealed on Wednesday, July 7, at the amphitheatre.

Fixed on a framed bronze plaque, the new stamp was presented to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council (SMC), by HE Abdulla Mohammed Al Ashram, Group CEO of Emirates Post Group, in the presence of HE Tariq Saeed Allay, Director of SGMB, as well as Saleh Girbal, Director of Projects and Events, Obaid Al Qatami, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, and Rashed Huraiz Alfalasi, Acting Chief Retail Officer at Emirates Post.

The 48 x 33mm postal stamp as well as the 120 x 150mm commemorative card feature an aerial night shot of the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre accented by dazzling lights and Roman-inspired columns. Spotlighting the unique architectural design of this landmark, the stamp and card also feature the following quote by the Ruler of Sharjah: ““Us as human beings are mortal and the theater remains as long as life remained”. They also feature the name of the amphitheatre written in the artistic Thuluth script of Islamic calligraphy on the left side with the year 2021 inscribed on the header.

During the inauguration, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi said: “Art has always served as a true manifestation of human ideas, experiences and progress. Historically, commemorative postage stamps are issued on subjects, themes, personalities or places that have a national stature for countries, and therefore, this stamp reiterates Khorfakkan Amphitheatre’s artistic value as an iconic architectural and cultural landmark.”

"The collaboration between SGMB and Emirates Post is part of the ongoing efforts by Sharjah and the UAE to fulfil shared goals to serve our country, and proudly announcing its achievements to the world. We hope that this joint effort will lead to more initiatives that will add value to the UAE’s journey,” he added.

HE Abdulla Mohammed Al Ashram noted: “We are honoured to present the commemorative stamp of Khorfakkan Amphitheater to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. Through this initiative, we aim to highlight the importance of the amphitheater as an architectural marvel and a new cultural landmark in Sharjah.”

“We will continue to issue stamps that celebrate the UAE’s heritage sites and cultural destinations. This will cement its position as a role model in growth and progress, a meeting place for people of different cultures, and an incubator for creativity and innovation,” he added.
